Summer of Color 3

I discovered a new to me challenge over at the Twinkle, Twinkle Like a Star blog.  Kristin has run this for three years and gets a really great response.  You can work in any medium using the colors chosen for that week.  This week's colors are Citron Green and Turquoise!  Be still my beating heart!  Anyone who knows me knows how much I love that combination and how I use it all the time.  So, much so that I have a project that I can share even though I just found out about this little get together the other day on Diana Taylor's blog Velvet Moth Studio

This is a bead crocheted necklace I made to feature Patty Cahill's lampwork beads.  The pattern was in an older issue of one of the beading magazines, so long ago I can remember which one.  But, I cut it out and put it with my bead crochet patterns and knew I would use it when I found just the right lampwork to use with it.  It allowed me to use some wire along with bead crochet which I love.

Here's a close up.

If you're like me and love Citron Green and Turquoise hop on over to Twinkle Twinkle and click on some of the links.  There is some great art to see!

Thanks for stopping by.  I'll be posting a colorful project each week so you'll hear from me more often!  Amazing!
